LANDSCAPE-DESIGN  Butterfly-garden

Summary (elaborate description )

Design for the Butterfly-garden in the village of Renesse, a village in The Netherlands

The garden has been created to inform the wider public about the possibilities how to manage communal green, which has been set up ecologically.
Specific nectar-plants have been planted to attract butterflies.

The butterfly-garden hosts not only butterflies but also attracts other insects.
With their long elongated tongues, they suck the nectar from the flowers.
Butterflies are present from April to October.
August is the flowering season of the nectar-plants, than they are in full bloom.
This is the primetime period to see the butterflies in action.
