In 2000 Eric made 5 ?touch sculptures? on commission for Blijdorp Zoo in Rotterdam.
Based on examples of stuffed animals, the birds first were modelled in clay, which formed the base for moulds. Then they were cast into bronze.When finished the birds were put on the rock in the Oceanium, as seen above.
