Description
This is an art-object designed to sit on and it has the shape of a bale of straw. It was made as furniture to be placed on a common in the Town of Delft, commissioned by the towncounsil of Delft. The material of which it consists is polyesther-concrete. This makes the objects stronger and somewhat lighter than when they would have been constructed in just concrete. Different colours are available. The regular colour is grey.
Medium
The bales of straw are made with the aid of a mould, made by Eric Odinot, and has been manifactured industrially. The material that has been used is polyester-concrete. If you wish it can be finished with a colour-pigment.
Sizes
The bales of straw are approximately 100x50x50 cm. (LxBxH), (length 66 ' ', width 33 ' ' and height 33 ' '). The bale weighs about 200 kilos.
